Positive review for Tauhara College in 2015
Following a team of reviewers being on site in June 2015, Tauhara College has received another very positive review from the Education Review Office.
The report focuses on the inclusive in culture of the school, the opportunities offered to students in a range of contexts and the strong achievement and outcomes for its students.
Comments from the report include:
The curriculum effectively promotes and supports student learning by providing a wide range of learning pathways that allow most students to experience success.
Responsive curriculum design at senior levels, which has included trades acedemies, Industry Training Organisations, Gateway, and close links with local and regional tertiary providers and businesses.
Significant increase in the use of digital technology, including the Bring Your Own Device (BYoD) programme and the schools participation in the Volcanics eLearning programmes.
High quality curriculum programmes for students in the Special Needs Department.
A range of initiatives linked to the local community.
