Tauhara College Junior Leadership is a formal programme to identify and develop student leaders in the school. It is open to students in Years 9 and 10. The teacher in charge is Mr Hermann - hk@tauhara.school.nz. 

The goals of the programme are to: 

• Develop a positive student culture in the school, emphasising respect and leadership.
• Provide Year 9 & 10 students with meaningful opportunities to develop as leaders.
• Provide students with the skills and understanding to be effective leaders in all areas of their lives.
• Develop a body of student leaders who can support the staff and management of Tauhara College.
