Kia ora whanau,
We want to update everyone on the intentions for Seniors once Prizegiving has taken place and NCEA exams begin.

After Prizegiving on 2nd of November we will be running an altered program to support senior student achievement.

We will have a number of students (in Year 11, 12, & 13) that will be allowed to leave on study leave (i.e. they do not have to attend school).

These students will need to have already achieved their NCEA level for the year. or have a heavy external load (exams).

Students who wish to go on study leave will need to apply for it via their Whanau teachers and their Dean. The students’ achievement and exam loading is then checked to ensure they have what they need to be successful before approval is granted. This form needs to be signed by whanau, parents/caregivers also. The forms are available from the students’ Whanau teacher or Dean.

Students who have not achieved their NCEA levels will need to stay at school and continue their learning programs. This will include resubmissions and further learning opportunities. This is done to ensure that they have the best chance to achieve their qualification.

All senior classes will still follow their timetable, this means that all students will have access to their classroom teachers for additional support and preparation for their external exams as well as catch up sessions.

All revision material will be available online via their google classroom.

Prizegiving note-
All prize winners should have received an email to parents/caregivers earlier this week. We cordially invite all whanau to our Prizegiving on 2nd November 6pm in our hall.

Course selection support. Wednesday 19th October. 4pm – 6pm.
